Where There is No Vision, Domainers Perish
Lets go back to why you started domaining. Was it to make the registrars richer? Was it to spend countless hours looking over endless list of domains you own? What was your original vision? What did you hope to accomplish by now? If you are not there yet, are you on the right path? MY IMAGINATION INFLUENCES MY ASPIRATION. In other words, your dreams determine your destiny. To accomplish anything you must first have a mission, a goal, a hope, a vision. “Without a vision the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18.

Lets say you have done almost everything right with your domains. You have worked hard, followed all the good advice but you are still not where you think you should be. Do not give up. You could be at the gestation period of your dreams. Sometimes to prepare you for where you are going to, God often presents some rough terrain.
Most people are familiar with the story of David in the Bible. However what some people are not aware of is that from the time David was anointed king to the time he actually ascended to the throne, there was some very rough twenty five years in between. He lost his home and the comfort of friends and family he was familiar with, he even lost his wife to another man. Yes David did slay Goliath but it all went down hill after for a while. Does this sound familiar? Your first big sale which you felt will catapult you away from the junior league of domainers. Sometimes it doesn’t, and that is what I call a Goliath moment.
Joseph had a dream, literally and prophetically. However this did not come to pass immediately. In fact it took more than 10 years in which time he was sold into slavery by his own brothers and was wrongly imprisoned for attempted rape . However this is where God wanted this young lad to be at the time because it was from the prison that he ascended to become the second most powerful man in the land of Egypt. The lad who saved a whole nation from famine. Are you currently feeling imprisoned by the economy or even your 9 to 5? Well I am here to tell you that if you have done all things humanly right then you are probably where God wants you for this moment. Continue to persevere and at the appointed time, your deliverance will come.
Moses on the other hand went from grace to grass and then back to grace. He was brought up in Pharaohs court just like one of his princes but Moses was to live the life of a wanderer for a while after committing a heinous crime of murder. It was while at the wilderness that God met him and turned this young, hot tempered man to leader of a nation.
Just because things are not looking up right now does not mean you should throw in the towel. Fact is the economy is tough for most people but if you hold your dream and visions, you will survive and may even triumph in this economy. Never stop trying. Never stop working on those sites. Never stop learning everything you can about domains but must importantly never forget your vision for this business. Most times it helps to put it in writing so that you can read it back to your self every morning and if I may add; Pray about it always because with prayer, you partner with the greatest force ever known to man.

Great post and words of wisdom.
Very inspirational Frankie. The good times are usually easy, it’s the tough times that most often determine one’s character. Thanks for sharing.

While I see your “big picture” I think it is interesting to compare men whose whole purpose was to reject the world and serve God as examples to a bunch of us as motivation to “make money”=)(in other words to seek the world).
Overall though I like the message of perseverance and timing even if I think the application is… different.=)
Thanks!
Great post. It’s hard to keep going with personal projects when the rewards haven’t yet been reaped. Self doubt can get in the way sometimes. But I have learned to have fun and let that show with my personal projects.

We are all created for worship and you can serve the Lord with whatever you do no matter how small proverbs 3:6 says “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”
Sometimes even a smile to a grocery clerk can be an act of worship and service to the Lord.
Those people mentioned above did not automatically devote there lives. God had to work with them, some for a longer period. Lets not forget Moses initially refused to go and he was one of the few people to ever come in close cotact with God. Moses did not knowingly abandon his princely ways, he had to run or face murder charges but God was still able to use him when his heart became right.
With great wealth, you can still serve. David is an example of such a man and it was him God called “The man after my own heart”
