Thanks to those who influenced me in 2008

This post is technically 6 days overdue. However I was caught up with so many happennings that I kept putting it off. I am going to list some of the people and blogs that I read in 2008 that helped influence me. Not all of them are in the domain world and of course a few will skip my mind. If I do not mention your name or blog, be rest assured that I am still grateful for the time you put into what you do.

A fellow that goes by the name “Danielr” (Not sure what his real name is) in DiscussNames. He introduced me to Fabulous. He also helped redirect my name acquisitions and how I look at domains now. For all the email you answered and all your advice, I thank you.

OCdomainer, A friend I met in Discussnames (Real name withheld for privacy reasons). We bounced ideas of each other and it was always refreshing to listen to the ideas and opinions of someone who is already very successful in the business world, try to make an entry into domaining.

DNJournal.com. I simply love this place. I usually read some of the articles but most importantly I come there for my weekly update in sales. Keep up the good work and for every sale you have chased down, I thank you.

Conceptualist.com. I wrote Sahr about two years ago when I wanted to future his late German Shepard in PetMemorial.com. Even though he did not know me from Adam then, yet he was courteous in his response and was quite encouraging. I have since read his blog as often as I can and it was through his blogroll that I found some other blogs I frequented prior to Domaining.com

Elliot Silver, You got to love this guy. The thing I like most about his writing style is that it always sounds as if he is talking to you directly. You have that feeling that you are talking to a buddy of yours. Thank you for running a very captivating blog.

NameCake.com Thanks for your comment on my blog. It has helped give birth to new ways of doing things.

Name.com I just like to do my name search here. Like to see all the tld’s at once. Thank you.

Whois.SC You guessed right. Thank you

The following blogs or people have been inspiring one way or the other over the course of 2008
RickLatona.com
RickSchwatz.com
The Domains.com
TrendDomaing.com
SimplyGeo.com
Dotweekly.com
Predictive Domaining.com
eBusinessDomains.com

Thanks to Domaining.com for providing an excellent platform for everyone to enjoy and to Francois for giving me the opportunity to make my views heard.

Special thanks to me readers and all those who have taken the time to drop a line or two to say keep it up. All post commenter’s, I salute you.

Of course I thank God for providing an excellent owners manual for without the Bible, I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

If I left your name out, please pardon me. I just have to get this out while we are still in the first week of January.

Why is this so important to me?

Well the story of the ten lepers in the Bible comes to light. Of the ten lepers Jesus healed at once, only one came to say thanks. Even Jesus expects to be thanked so Gratitude and Thanksgiving can never be overemphasized. This year one of the things I want to make a habit is to comment on any post I have read and like even if it is just to say “Well done”

I am talking directly to you! Thanks for the shout out. I love talking about the industry with like-minded people. If you are in the industry, and especially if you are reading the domain blogs, we are like-minded by default.

    Here’s to a great 2009.
