There is no where in the story that I claimed this was a scriptural verse. Just like the joke of the lottery, it simply said; &quot;There is a story about...&quot; 
However your question made me dig a little into the Bible and my 5 minutes research brought out the following;
 &quot;Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must be patient as you wait for the coming of the Lord. Consider the farmer who waits patiently for the coming of rain in the fall and spring, looking forward to the precious fruit of the earth.  You also must wait patiently, strengthening your resolve, because the coming of the Lord is near&quot; James 5 Vs 7- 8 (Common English Bible)</description>
