Are you praying for Rain?

This is a new year. Fact.
How prepared are you now? How much more prepared are you than last year? I usually do not post on Saturdays but last night I heard this story about two farmers who prayed for rain and I felt it was important and timely enough for me to not wait till Monday.

I am going to make it short and sweet. The story is about  two farmers who prayed for rain. One went out and plowed his field while the other stayed in wait instead for the rain.  The question is which of this farmer do  you think has demonstrated an act of faith. The fact is when the rain finally did come, the man with the plowed field was at comparative advantage since it is difficult to plow when the field is wet.

How does that apply to you as a domainer with faith? Well I will tell you. What proactive actions have you taken so far? Do you think the buzz about developing will just buzz away like a wild bee if you ignore it? Think again.

I will tell you a joke I heard about 4 years ago but I thought it was insightful enough to remember. A guy kept praying to God to win the lottery but never bought a lottery ticket. For years this went on and one day God came to him in a dream and said ” Dude, how about a helping hand, how about buying at least one ticket.”  Please note that this is a joke so do not read any unintended meanings into it.

After Moses prayed to God at the red sea, it  still required an action to translate his faith. He needed to stretch out his staff to the sea and the water pathed.
If  David had stayed home, Goliath  might have lived to a ripe old age. David had to show up with what he had.

Yes sometime all you need is prayer but most times God requires an act of faith from you — the keyword there is “Act” which really means action.

So go develop, and remember Vowels.me  in your quest for greatness. Vowels.me is the site that brings you face to face with multiple developers.

This ticket joke is really an international old joke.
I hear it a dozen of times in France and Spain these last 30 years, and now from an american.
Feature your domains if you want to maximize your sale chances.

  • Francois is right. Featuring your name is a great way to get exposure for your name rather than waiting to found out.
