		<description>I&#039;ve been using 1and1 since 2005.  I found out today I was sent to collections because a card on file was cancelled due to fraud.  This is for $40 in renewal charges.  I was planning to register some new domains with them (had 20+ registered with them in the past), but will now be taking my business elsewhere.

And yes, I will say that when I had to cancel domains in the past, it was a horrible process.  I was often billed for domains that I meant to cancel, but missed the opportunity to do so because of the complicated procedures.</description>

		<description>And p.s.  oikos must work for 1and1.  1and1&#039;s customer support is NOT based in the US.  It&#039;s Thailand and or India.  They switch you back to U.S. for certain issues.  But, the U.S. tech support is horrible as well.  Arrogant, couldn&#039;t be bothered, and treat you like you&#039;re the problem.  1and1 is a horrible, disgusting business.</description>

		<description>It&#039;s true.  1and1 sent my account to collections for 67 dollars.  I didn&#039;t update my credit card info and was out of town for a month... 1 single month I didn&#039;t update it.  I called to update and they told me my account was cancelled.  If I wanted my 7 domains I would have to pay the debt collection agency (with an extra 19.98 in fees), then pay 1and1 $8 per domain to transfer them.  This is the most outrageous thing I have ever been through.  Does 1and1 actually want to keep customers?????  Do they know we can use the internet to post bad reviews.  1and1 bad review. 1and1 sucks.  Never ever use 1and.  Aren&#039;t there rules about using debt collection agencies??? Read what you sign up for before you sign up. If you don&#039;t want to renew at a higher price , swap providers before the filing date. You have to stay on top of all these dates no matter who you use. The customer service folks speak english, that is big help to me, when I have had to call.
